Privacy policy

This policy explains how PBN Connect ("PBN Connect", "we") collects and uses personal data when you visit our website, use the PBN Connect platform as a member, or are referred to a member as a prospect. We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law.

What we collect

• Members: name, mobile number, email, business details (name, GSTIN, PAN/Udyam, address), category, chapter, payment and bank details for payouts, activity on the platform (leads, meetings, invoices you create).
• Prospects referred by members: name, mobile number, optional email/company and the requirement described by the referring member, shared only after the prospect has agreed to be contacted.
• Customers of members: details a member records in their CRM or invoices, and reviews you choose to submit.
• Visitors: information you submit in forms, and basic technical data (IP address, device, pages visited) for security and performance.

How we use it

• To run the referral network: deliver leads, track deals, calculate and settle referral fees, run chapters and meetings.
• To send service messages on WhatsApp, SMS or email (login codes, lead alerts, reminders). You can opt out of non-essential messages.
• To publish the business information members choose to make public on their micro-website and in the directory.
• To prevent fraud, resolve disputes, meet tax and legal obligations and improve the platform.

Sharing

Prospect details are shared only with the member they are referred to. We use service providers to operate the platform, including hosting, WhatsApp Business messaging, payment gateways (Razorpay, Stripe) and, where enabled, GST e-invoicing providers. We do not sell personal data. We never hold referral money in our own account; online fees are settled by licensed payment aggregators.

Retention

We keep data for as long as your account is active and as required by tax and accounting law (generally 8 years for invoices). Prospect data is kept while the related lead is open or under the 90-day lock and then retained only as part of the deal record.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent, and nominate another person to exercise these rights, by writing to hello@pbnconnect.com. Members can edit most data directly in their account.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, stored credentials are encrypted at rest, access is role-based, and backups are taken daily.
